About the Founder
Career Highlights
Garett Naff, AIA is a licensed architect with a career in architectural design spanning back to 1996. His experience ranges from high-rise towers and university buildings to residential pop-top additions and finished basements – and everything in between. In the early 2000s, Garett was part of one of the first teams in the U.S. to adopt Building Information Modeling (BIM), a cutting-edge approach at the time. He contributed to several major cultural projects during that period, including the Denver Art Museum’s Hamilton Wing addition, Daniel Libeskind’s Museum Residences, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver’s new building. These early experiences honed his expertise in both innovative design technology and practical field execution.
Industry Leadership and Vision
In 2010, Garett founded Solid Tech Property Measurement, driven by a vision to bridge the gap between creative architectural design and precise building measurement (architectural metrology). Today he leads Solid Tech with a focus on architectural metrology and BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) standards, bringing the latest technology to his clients’ project teams.
Garett’s role in the industry extends beyond his company. He is an active member of BOMA International and currently serves as the co-chair of BOMA’s Floor Measurement Standards Interpretations Committee. In this capacity, he doesn’t just apply the standard measurement practices – he helps define and interpret them for professionals across the industry. In fact, Garett has been involved in BOMA’s floor measurement standards committee for over a decade, including more than seven years as co-chair of the Interpretations subcommittee.
As a recognized expert in the field, Garett regularly contributes to industry education and best practices. He has volunteered in developing and updating BOMA measurement standards, authored official “Best Practice” guidelines, and participated on expert panels for BOMA International webinars. His insights on building measurements have even been published in the Colorado Real Estate Journal. Under Garett’s leadership, Solid Tech’s accurate area measurement reports have helped clients realize record-setting property valuations in Denver and Boulder, solidifying the firm’s reputation as a leader in building measurement and leasing information management.
Garett is passionate about advancing the science of building measurement and ensuring that clients get maximum value from precise data. Connect with him on LinkedIn to learn more about his professional journey and to explore potential collaborations.
